How often should you exfoliate?

 

Do you remember a time when you get your glow on after a good facial scrub? It felt so good to see your skin naturally glowing. However, do you know how often should you exfoliate?

There are two types of exfoliation. Mechanical exfoliation uses a tool or a scrub to manually remove dead skin cells. On the other hand, chemical exfoliation uses Alpha or Bets hydroxy acids to dissolve dead skin cells. 

According to a New Jersey dermatologist, Avnee Shah, M.D., exfoliation is a skincare technique wherein you remove the dead skin cells on the top layer of your skin and allowing anti-aging products to go through the skin more effectively to achieve glowing and brighter skin. It lessens the appearance of hyperpigmentation and signs of aging, minimizes pore size, and improves skin texture

It is right to exfoliate two to three times a week Exfoliating once a week is not enough. Exfoliation is a natural way of restoring your skin for a glowing and illuminating skin. Hence, moderation and balance are key to a brighter and glowing skin.
